Super Eagles' wing-back Ola Aina remains undeterred despite his penalty miss in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeroasoccernet.com reports.

The fullback  expressed his willingness to take another penalty for Nigeria if the opportunity arises again, ahead of their AFCON final clash against Ivory Coast on Sunday.

Aina's penalty miss occurred during Nigeria's thrilling semi-final victory over South Africa.

Despite the setback, the former Chelsea player emphasized his confidence in his penalty-taking abilities, stating, "Football is a roller coaster... I could put my money on it, I could put my house on it, I could put everything on it that I would've scored my penalty."

Acknowledging the support of his teammates and goalkeeper Nwabali, who saved the day, Aina remained grateful and focused on the task ahead. He affirmed, "You look forward and if it comes to it again [against Ivory Coast] I will be taking another one, but that is just me."

As Nigeria gears up for the AFCON final, Aina's determination to redeem himself underscores the team's spirit and resilience in pursuit of continental glory.
