Veteran Ghanaian coach J.E Sarpong fears the Black Stars might choke in their semi-final clash against Equatorial Guinea without captain Asamoah Gyan.
The Al Ain ace is racing against time to play a part in Ghana’s semi-final clash on Thursday after ace came out worse from a nasty lunge on him by Guinea goalkeeper Naby Yattara.
Ghana are still awaiting the result of the MRI scan which was done on Monday to know whether Gyan would be available for selection.
“Gyan is a key member of the team both on the playing field and on a psychological level,” Sarpong told GHANASoccernet.com
“I do not want to believe that he won’t to believe he would not be ready for the semi-final game.
“I will rather hope and pray that he gets well to play a part instead because it’s too big a loss to comprehend at this sensitive time.”

I think players like Gyan Create fear in defenders So they will have like two defender on him Giving players like Atsu The chance to shine So I pray that we could just have Gyan in the game
