AFCON 2015: Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan wants Guinea goalie Yattara banned
Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan insists Guinea goalkeeper Naby Yattara cannot be allowed to ‘play football’ following his savage tackle.
The Arles Avignon player lunged into Gyan in the dying minutes of Guinea’s 3-0 defeat in the quarter finals of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations last Sunday.
The tackle has left the Black Stars captain injured and now racing against time to be fit for the semi final clash against tournament hosts Equatorial Guinea.
Gyan has since been flown to Mongomo for further tests to be conducted on his injury.
The Black Stars captain who had to be aided by officials to get into the team bus after the game was firm in his conviction that Yattara shouldn’t be allowed to play the game of football.
“I am in pain right now,” Gyan said.
“That guy cannot play football. He shouldn’t play football.”
Ghana are now likely to be without their trusted goal scorer for Thursday’s semi final clash against Equatorial Guinea.

This Monster intentionally, deliberately, premeditated assaulted Gyan. He needs only not to be banned but to be charged with assault for hitting below the belt because this is Sports and not war. Even boxing frowns on hitting below the belt.
