Ghana winger Christian Atsu was named man of the match in the come-from-behind 2-1 win over South Africa to reach the quarter-finals of the Nations Cup.

Atsu was a tormentor-in-chief on the right flank of the Black Stars and was key to Ghana’s attack.

The on-loan Everton player displayed some dribbling skills and whipped in some crosses which caused problems for the South Africa defenders.

He is the second Ghana player to win the award after captain Asamoah Gyan’s adjudged best player in the 1-0 win over Algeria.

Andre Ayew's late diving header secured the win 2-1 after Mandla Masango gave South Africa the lead in the 17th minute

The Black Stars drew level in the 73rd minute through defender John Boye, whose drilled shot screamed under a diving goalkeeper Nhlanhla Khuzwayo.
