AFCON 2015: You can only judge my players after tournament, says Ghana coach Avram Grant
Ghana coach Avram Grant is urging journalists to wait until the end of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations before drawing conclusions on the performance of his players.
Several media reports and social media comments have started picking on striker Jordan Ayew as the weakest link in the Black Stars team in the three games plays so far at the tournament being staged in Equatorial Guinea.
The Lorient man’s performance appears to keep dropping since impressing in his first game – the defeat to Senegal.
Many are now clamouring for a change in strike-partner for Asamoah Gyan but coach Avram Grant appears unwilling to tinker with his forward line.
The 56-year-old has refused to give into comments of the perceived declining form of Jordan Ayew and says journalist must wait until the end of the competition to pass conclusive comments about his individual players.
“I suggest to you than in a big tournament you wait until the end [before making judgment on players],” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
“I don’t want to say anymore of this about this player who performed well and this player who didn’t perform well.
“I think Jordan Ayew gave a lot of effort and he was one of the best in the first game [against Senegal.
“And he gave a lot of effort today [win over South Africa.
“And therefore about any player I suggest to you to wait and not make conclusions after one or two games.”

Its not about playing well, its about the connection with Gyan, he's not connecting well with Gyan, Gyan has to be fed, Kwesi Appiah is a far better option. We can not all be wrong, pls try another partnership thanks and God bless Ghana.

I wonder why many Ghanaian's are calling for the head of this young man Jordan. I think he is holding his own pretty well. well let's drop him in our next game and lose , I think Ghanaian's will be happier than to see him play n we win.
