AFCON 2015: Boost for Ghana ahead of Algeria clash as Asamoah Gyan returns to training
Ghana got a timely injury boost ahead of their crucial game against Algeria with the return of captain Asamoah Gyan to training on Tuesday.
The Al Ain ace missed the opening Group C defeat to Senegal on Monday due to illness.
Gyan was sorely missed in the game as the Black Stars threw away an early lead to lose 2-1 to Senegal.
Avram Grant’s side is however likely to profit from the return of their prolific captain for Friday’s must-win clash against Algeria.
Gyan did some light shake up with the team on Tuesday at a session which was closed to the media and the public.
The 29-year-old is expected to return to full-scale training with the side in the coming days ahead of the game against Algeria.
Ghana is desperate for a win following their opening group defeat to Senegal to resurrect their campaign in Equatorial Guinea.
The Black Stars face an early exit if they are unable to secure the desired result against the tournament favourites on Friday.

The Black Stars should just come home. They were simply terrible in their match against Senegal.
