Academie Basga Jo have placed their sporting operation in the hands of Franco-Serbian coach and technical director Darko Janackovic, who was officially presented by the club’s vice-president Sosthene Sanou on Friday, 9 October 2026.
Janackovic will use his international experience to support the academy’s development and help it meet the objectives set by its leaders. His appointment gives him responsibility for guiding the sporting side of the organisation and contributing to its continued progress.
The length of his contract has not been disclosed. Club officials said, however, that his work with Academie Basga Jo would be assessed according to the results achieved and the progress made during his time in the role.

Janackovic arrives with experience gained across several countries. His career has included spells in Nigeria, Belgium, Algeria and Sweden, giving him an international background as he begins his new role in Burkina Faso.
The Franco-Serbian has indicated that he intends to commit himself fully to the project. He will work to help Academie Basga Jo become more structured and move towards the targets identified by the club’s management.
