Samuel Chukwueze could be set for a potential departure from AC Milan this summer, as the Serie A side are reportedly willing to listen to offers while assessing their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigerian winger has returned to Milan following the end of his loan spell at Premier League club Fulham FC, where he impressed with three goals and four assists in 23 league appearances. During his time in London, he also linked up effectively with fellow Nigerians Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey.

Despite his solid performances, Fulham opted not to activate the reported €26 million buy option included in the loan agreement, although discussions between the two clubs over a possible revised deal are believed to have taken place without reaching an agreement.

Chukwueze is expected to report for pre-season training with AC Milan, but his long-term future remains uncertain amid ongoing changes within the club’s technical structure.

Italian journalist Luca Cerchione noted that Milan consider the winger a “sellable asset” and would be open to his departure if a suitable offer arrives, although he is not among the players actively being pushed out of the squad.

The 26-year-old joined AC Milan from Villarreal in 2023 for around €20 million and has struggled to cement a regular starting role, despite showing flashes of his attacking quality.

With two years remaining on his contract, Milan are expected to carefully evaluate any incoming offers as they balance squad depth with financial planning.

A possible move could offer Chukwueze a fresh start and more consistent playing time as he continues to prepare for Nigeria’s upcoming international commitments.
