AC Milan duo Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari are on the verge of being shipped out of the club following their below performance in their 3-0 friendly win over lower side AC Reggiana on Wednesday, the Italian media is reporting.

The two Ghanaian players were thrown into the hat by manager Filipo Nzaghi but their midfield partnership was disappointing.

While Essien has not really integrated in the Milan squad, Muntari has been a pale shadow of himself this season.

Reports in Italy suggest the Ghanaian internationals will not fit into the Milan project and will be shipped out at the end of the current campaign.

Indeed tuttomotoriweb.com is reporting on Friday the two players should go away from the club in June following massive fans distrust towards them to enable the club bring in quality players to overturn their downward spiral.
