Abraham eyeing first-team role
Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham says he is determined to earn a regular first-team place with the Blues next season.
The 21-year-old has found himself down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge in the past and developed his skills on loan deals in the Championship with the likes of Bristol City, Swansea and Aston Villa.
Back with Chelsea ahead of next season, Abraham is hoping that he can now settle with the Blues and start having an impact at first-team level.
With Frank Lampard also being rumoured to be the next Chelsea manager, following the departure of Maurizio Sarri, Abraham feels like he would be able to shine under the current Derby County boss.
"Yeah, if it was Lampard to take over the job. I believe in myself and there is no better guy to play under as well," said the 21-year-old, who scored 26 times on loan at Villa last term.
"He's someone you have grown up watching and has been at Chelsea forever. Like I say, he knows about me as well - I played against his [Derby] team in the Championship play-off final!"
Chelsea are 25/1 to win the Premier League title next season, while reigning champions Manchester City are 4/6 to lift the trophy once again.
