Nigeria Premier Football League side Enyimba have announced the return of midfielder Fatai Abdullahi to the club, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Abdullahi, who previously played for Enyimba during the 2022-23 NPFL season, helped the People's Elephant win the league title that year.

The 28-year-old had brief stints with Rivers United and Rwandan side Etoile de L'est before returning to Enyimba.

Enyimba confirmed Abdullahi's return on social media, posting: "Welcome back to Enyimba FC."

Abdullahi's reunion with Enyimba is expected to boost the team's midfield options as they prepare for the new NPFL and the CAF Confederation Cup season.
