Bayelsa Queens technical adviser, Whyte Ogbonda, has praised the resilience of his players in their two-nil win against Dannaz Ladies in Wednesday’s Sheroes matchday 3 clash at the FIFA Goal Project pitch, Abuja, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

The pulsating contest ended in a two zero win, with the Prosperity Girls getting all 3 points.

The Prosperity Girls took the lead in the first half when Uduakbong Monday found the back of the net in the 36th minute, to end the first half with a goal up.

On resumption for the second half, Dannaz Ladies did all they could to level-up, but the defense line of Bayelsa Queens stood resolute and it was the Prosperity Girls that netted a second in the 84th minute through Grace Salisu, to put the game beyond Dannaz Ladies reach.

The win extended Bayelsa Queens unbeaten run to make two wins out of two games, with Whyte Ogbonda describing the outcome as a “fair result.”

“For me, it was a tough game. We all know no team is a push-over and we know what Dannaz Ladies represent,” Whyte said after the match.

“The good thing is, we are focused as a team for this Sheroes Cup, though we know it is just a pre-season tournament. The players understood their responsibilities, that is why we’re getting the results and we’re satisfied with it.”

Coach Whyte Ogbonda also praised the Dannaz Ladies for the quality of the squad and attributed the progress of the Prosperity Girls to hard work and adherence to a clear process.

“There’s no magic here, it’s all about hard work and belief in what we’re doing. I must thank the players for buying into our philosophy. Nothing happens without a process, and I’m happy they’ve embraced it. Their intensity, both with and without the ball, is commendable,” Coach Whyte Ogbonda added.
