2015 AFCON: Ghana winger Atsu wants focus against Algeria, South Africa
Ghana winger Christian Atsu has urged his colleagues to forget about Monday’s defeat to Senegal and focus on the remaining two games at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars swallowed a painful 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Terranga Lions in their group C opener despite taken an early lead.
The strong Senegalese squeezed the maximum points at the death with substitute striker Mousa Sow grabbing the headlines with a super low grounder on the stroke on full-time to win the game.
While Atsu admits the Ghanaians could have improved in the second half, he has called for focus on the next two games- starting with Friday’s must-win game against Algeria.
"We played against a very good side and we must accept the defeat, no need to cry foul on the results, it is a true reflection of what happened on the field of play, although we could have done better in the second half," he said
“The Senegal game is over and we have two more games to play in the group stages, we must concentrate and plan on how to bounce back in our two remaining matches in the group.
"We have no excuse now after losing to Senegal, so what we have to do is to go all out against Algeria and South Africa in the other games and pick the six points to qualify from the group. "We can qualify from this group despite our early setback, these things happen in football and we must just accept the defeat and move on from there."

Sorry but I just do not think he is good as he was hyped up to be. If Ghana does not move on, his missed one on one goal will be remember for a long time to come.

We will forget about your mother and father and concentrate your forking self.kwasiaa like you.you couldn't convert a simple ball after Jordan had done all the work for you and you're there thinking of beating a determined and resilient Algeria and a wounded south Africa who shot themselves in the foot by not taking their chances. You should be advising your colleagues to start packing bag and baggage to their various clubs.Maybe it's about time we start lashing you guys at the Kotoka Airpot anytime you go out there to play such shambolic football and yet earn our hard earned tax payer's money as fat bonuses.Shame unto you and your clueless coach

Blk stars call up should be based on the percentage of games played for your team at least 75%, players like atsu should not be called, if you cant get playing time at mid table team everton
