Zone One of Ghana's second tier DOL set for penultimate matches
The Zone One of the Division One League is heading towards its climax as the last but one games are to be played this weekend.
The heat is on as tensions are high towards the ending of the zone as Week 29 matches will see a lot of promising and exciting encounters.
The biggest of all is the Tano derby which will be played at the Ohene Ameyaw park in Techiman where Techiman City will face Berlin FC.
In the first round Berlin fc won by a lone goal against Techiman city at same venue.
This time round with Techiman city slightly behind Berlin fc on the second and third position respectively, the local derby promises a lot of action and excitement.
Both teams are having 54 points each with Berlin on top of Techiman city due head to head advantage.
What makes the derby interesting and promising is that both Techiman city and Berlin fc are all in the capacity to qualify to the top-flight
The top division one derby do not only present on-the-field excitement as bragging rights is also at stake.
Since 1986 there is no football club in Techiman which has played top flight football in Ghana as the winner of Sunday's derby is in pole position to qualify to the First Capital Plus Premier League.
The league leaders Real Tamale United (RTU) will also travel to Japekrom for another interesting encounter.
