Manchester United's new-boy Joshua Zirkzee was the Old Trafford hero as he scored an 87th-minute winner against Fulham, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The 2024/25 English Premier league season kicked off on Friday in Manchester with Nigeria internationals, Alex Iwob and Calvin Bassey on parade for Fulham.

While Fulham struggled to control their host, goalkeeper Bernd Leno frustrated the Red Devil’s efforts denying United a couple of goal scoring moments until Zirkzee happened in the 87th minute.

With a beautiful cross from the right wing from Alejandro Garnacho Zirkzee calmly steered the ball into the bottom corner in a hammer blow for Fulham.

Both Iwobi and Bassey player the entire minute of the game. And while Iwobi’s attacking threats were curtailed Bassey was ended with a yellow card to his name.
