Xabi Alonso surprised by Chelsea’s poor away record at Everton

Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso was surprised to learn how few goals his side have scored in recent Premier League away matches against Everton.

Chelsea have found the net only twice in their past nine league visits to Everton since 2017. They have also won just one of their last nine matches at Everton’s home ground.

The teams will meet again on 17 October in the seventh round of the English championship. Kick-off is scheduled for 14:30 Moscow time.
