Winger Richard Mpong pens one-year Kotoko contract extension

Winger Richard Mpong has become the third Asante Kotoko player to extend his stay at the club this month after penning a one-year deal.

Mpong’s current three-year contract ends on 01 August this year but he will remain with the club until 01 August 2016.

He joined Asante Kotoko from Medeama and has since become a regular, playing a role in their historic league and cup double.

Kotoko General Manager, Opoku Nti confirmed Mpong’s contract extension to the club’s official website.

“Richard Mpong has renewed his contract for a year; that is the latest news in camp,” Nti said.

Defender Abeiku Ainooson and midfielder Michael Akuffu have all renewed their contracts by signing one year deals each.
