William Troost-Ekong in action as Salernitana suffer heavy defeat to Juventus

Not a beautiful day in office for Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong who was in action as his club suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat to Juventus in the Italian Serie A, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.

Having enjoyed a great start for Salernitana against Lecce last weekend on his return to Italy, things took another shift to Ekong against Juventus.

The 3-0 defeat is a dent on their survival bid as they are now just 7 points above the drop zone.

A tricky clash awaits them next Monday as they visit Hellas Verona who sits in the relegation zone.
