Super Eagles Captain, William Troost-Ekong had stated the team's desire to feature in the next African Cup of Nations again, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.

Troost-Ekong spoke ahead of the African Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Benin Republic on Saturday at the pre match conference on Friday.

He disclosed that after the feat achieved by the team in the last African Cup of Nations in Cote D'Ivoire, they want to be part of it again this time, in Morocco.

The newly signed defender to Saudi Arabia side Al Kholood stated that the team exudes the right spirit and knows what is expected of it.

"It's a big privilege to be here again. We are very excited about this new campaign. I think everyone doesn't need to be reminded how much joy we had only months ago in the last AFCON and the years leading up to that qualifier. I think this is our biggest idea or message to the team as well is that for us we want to be there again in Morocco, that starts today. It's going to be a long journey, but what we did the last time we want to do it better that starts with winning games and qualifying for the tournament.", he said.

The match comes up at 5pm at the Godswil Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Saturday.
