Sevilla's sporting director, Victor Orta, has revealed how intentional the club is about Nigerian winger, Chidera Ejuke, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Ejuke joined the La Liga side on a free transfer on Monday, after his contract with CSKA Moscow expired.

Orta revealed that the club had been monitoring Ejuke since his arrival in Europe and were impressed by his performances, particularly during his loan spell in November.

“We knew Ejuke since he arrived in Europe and we were surprised by his loan in November. We discovered that he was free, we followed him weekly and we were convinced by his personality and all the information we needed,” Orta was quoted by the club’s official website

"We also spoke with the coach, Quique Sánchez Flores, who values speed and winger play, which are characteristics that Chidera possesses. He also presses well after losing the ball, and we had to act quickly since he was available on a free transfer."
