"We can find younger players to give liveliness to the team"- Randy Waldrum
Nigeria's Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum has hinted that new and younger players will be introduced to the team before the World Cup that will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
Super Falcons for the first time in 10 years failed to a win medal at the African Women Cup of Nations.
They lost by a lone goal to a determined Shepolopolo of Zambia in the loser's final played on Friday. While reacting to the result the American gaffer said the tournament allowed them to assess the team.
"This competition allowed us to review a lot of things at our level. It was an evaluation session for us and the players.
"We are one year away from the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2023, so a lot of things may change for the team, maybe at the level of the players.
"We can find younger players to give liveliness to the team," he said.
