Nigeria's representative at the WAFU-B CAF Women's Champions League, Edo Queens have reached the final after beating Inter FC of Abidjan in the semi final on Tuesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Benin Arsenals Ladies piped the host 2-1 to achieve the historic feat at the Stade de la paix de Bouaké  in Cote D'Ivoire.

Emem Essien opened score for the Nigeria Women Football League reigning champions early in the first half on seven minute before Blessing Illivieda doubled on 34 minute to solidify the lead.

Though Inter pulled one back on 47 minute through Adjoua Niamien, but Edo Queens remained resolute to get the victory at the final whistle.

The Moses Aduku side have reached the final of the WAFU B CAF Women's Champions League for the first time in the competition, becoming the second Nigerian team to reach the final after Bayelsa Queens.

They play Benin Republic side Ainonvi FC in the final following their 1-0 win over Burkina Faso side AO Etincelle in the first semi final played earlier on Tuesday.
