Tom Heaton is excited by the youthful squad Dean Smith has put together at Aston Villa after completing his switch from Burnley to the Premier League new-boys.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper is Smith's 11th signing of the summer and is by far the most experienced of Villa's captures.
Heaton came through the youth team ranks at Manchester United before, after being sent out on loan to Swindon Town, Cardiff City, QPR, Rochdale and Wycombe Wanderers, joining the Bluebirds on a permanent basis nine years ago.
He spent two seasons in Wales before joining Bristol City and then the Clarets.
In his six campaigns with Burnley he featured in 188 league matches but missed most of the 2017/18 season through injury and was then competing with Nick Pope and Joe Hart for the goalkeeping spot in Sean Dyche's side.
Heaton, who has won three England caps, said after completing his transfer to Villa Park: "There's momentum here - you could see that from afar.
"This club got the ball rolling last season and it turned into a huge success story in the second half of the campaign. To gain promotion was absolutely brilliant.
"It's been a busy window so far - a lot of signings. But it needed to happen with a lot of players having also left the club.
"The majority of the signings are young, hungry and athletic. It's a really exciting time for Aston Villa and I'm delighted to be a part of that. Hopefully, I'll bring a bit of experience to it."
Villa are 4/1 to finish in the top half of the Premier League table this season and 9/1 to beat Tottenham in their opening match on 10th August.
