VIDEO: Wakaso Mubarak scores impresisve AFCON goal, gives timely reminder to Deila
Ghana advanced to the final of this year's Africa Cup of Nations with a convincing 3-0 win over hosts Equatorial Guinea.
Avram Grant's men coasted into a final matchup against Ivory Coast by hammering Equatorial Guinea this evening, leaving fans to look forward to a heavyweight clash in the final.
Striker Jordan Ayew opened the scoring from the penalty spot on 42 minutes, before Celtic winger Mubarak made it two with a devastating counter attack.
Mubarak was handed the ball on the right hand side of the box, and cleverly cut inside the defender before slamming a left footed shot low into the back of the net.
Ghana wrapped the game up on 75 minutes thanks to a goal from Marseille forward Andre Ayew, before crowd trouble marred the end of the game.
For Mubarak, it was a great chance to show what he could do, considering that he's largely been on the fringes of the Celtic team this season.
The 24-year-old is on a season-long loan deal from Russian side Rubin Kazan, but has made just ten appearances for Ronny Deila's men, scoring only once.
With little future in Russia, Mubarak is essentially playing for his future with Celtic - and whilst the January addition of Gary Mackay-Steven will harm his chances of playing on the left of midfield, his well taken goal for Ghana is a timely reminder of his talents to manager Deila.
