Nigeria Premier Football League champions Remo Stars has officially announced the return of Victor Mbaoma, the club's former captain, after a 2-year stint in Rwanda, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

He leaves APR FC after winning the Rwandan Premier League and finishing as the Joint Top Scorer with 15 goals in the 2023/2024 season.

Mbaoma, 28 made his NPFL debut with Remo Stars before going on to establish himself as one of the most prolific goal scorers in recent history during his time at Enyimba.

He rejoins the Sky Blue Stars for the third time after spells in 2016/17 and 2018/19, with a wealth of experience, in the league, having played for top-tier clubs in Nigeria, including Enyimba FC and Akwa United.

His international experience ahead of the CAF Champions League campaign is not in doubt after playing in 2022 for MC Alger / Mouloudia Club Oran (Algeria), 2023 Qizilqum Zarafshon (Uzbekistan) and Mid-2023 to Mid-2025 – APR FC (Rwanda).
