Nigerian striker Victor Boniface found the net for Royal Union SG against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League quarterfinal first leg on Thursday night, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Super Eagles player scored for Union St Gilloise in the 51st minute before the home team equalised late on as they share the spoils in Germany.

A good build up play by the Unionist saw Nieuwkoop, Lazare and Teuma follow up to pass Boniface in the left flank before the Nigerian placed the ball at the right hand corner of the net for the first goal of the game.

Unfortunately, Writz restored parity for the Hosts in the 83rd minute leaving all to play for in the second leg.

Boniface who was substituted for Gustaf Nilsson  in the 89th minute tops scorers'chart in the Europa League with 6 goals, making a total of nine goals
