Experienced Ghana coach Emmanuel Afranie has warned against complacency ahead of the World Youth Championship 1/16th game between Ghana and Mali.

The Black Satellites will take on their West African neighbours in Wellington on Wednesday seeking their second successive win.

Coach Sellas Tetteh has been boosted with news that midfielder Clifford Aboagye will be available for the game against the Malians in New Zealand.

The Spain-based midfielder picked up a groin injury during the 1-0 win over Panama last Friday but has been passed fit to feature for the Ghanaians.

The Ghanaians go into the encounter on the back of an impressive 3-1 win over the West African neighbours in the African Youth Championship in Senegal earlier this year.

But veteran Ghanaian trainer Emmanuel Afranie has warned the team to guard against complacency.

"What the team must guard against is complacency. They should not think because they beat Argentina, they are finished," he said

"They must tackle the game head-on without a shred of complacency in it.

"Determination, focus and character will see them through. I believe they can do it if they keep their eye on the ball."
