Nigeria Flying Eagles head coach, Isah Ladan Bosso has expressed his frustration over his team's failure to qualify for the finals of the African Cup of Nations, AFCON U-20 after losing to Gambia on Monday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

An uninspiring Nigeria team fell by a goal to nil to Gambia who qualified for their first final courtesy of an Adama Bojang's goal in the first half of the semi final encounter.

The loss has elicited unhappy reaction from the Benue gaffer expressing his disgust over the performance of his boys.

“I am very frustrated because we had the team to go all the way. Football is cruel.

We didn't measure up. I congratulate The Gambia for winning.”, Bosso said.

"We lost stupidly. We were naive from the start. We failed to take our chances and we also missed the penalty in the 8th minute.

With the loss Nigeria will contest for third place against Tunisia in the AFCON tournament going on in Cairo, Egypt.
