Trabzonspor have rekindled their interest in signing Southampton forward Paul Onuachu on a permanent transfer, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Onuachu impressed during his loan spell with the Turkish Super Lig club last season, scoring 17 goals and providing four assists in all competitions.

However, the Turkish club's initial attempts to sign the lanky forward were thwarted as they were unable to meet Southampton's €10m valuation.

According to Fotomac, Trabzonspor have now submitted a new proposal, involving a player-plus-cash offer, in an attempt to persuade Southampton to sell.

It remains to be seen whether the Saints will accept the latest offer, with the Nigeria international still under contract at St Mary's until June 2026.

Trabzonspor's renewed interest in Onuachu suggests they are eager to reunite with the forward, who made a significant impact during his time with the Black Sea Storm.
