Real Betis Balompié has secured the services of Nigerian defensive midfielder Kalu Chinyere on a two-year deal until 2026, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

A product of Nigerian clubs like Martins White Dove FC, Osun Babes FC, Rivers Angels FC, and Nasarawa Amazons FC, Kalu has also represented her country at the under-17 and under-20 levels, including the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

Her move to Real Betis further strengthens the growing contingent of Nigerian players in the Spanish La Liga, joining the likes of Rasheedat Ajibade, Monday Gift, Rinsola Babajide, Imade, among others.

Kalu will be hoping to make her debut when Real Betis Féminas travel to Granada CF for the Liga F matchday 7 encounter where she will face her compatriot in Edna Imade.
