Turkish outfit, Trabzonspor are intensifying their efforts to sign Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare from KRC Genk, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Arokodare has made a blistering start to the season, scoring four goals in three league games for Genk.

The Belgian Pro League club is holding out for a €10m transfer fee, while Arokodare's annual salary demand of $2.5m initially deterred Trabzonspor.

However, recent negotiations have seen both parties make concessions on the pay, bringing the deal closer to fruition.

Arokodare, who joined Genk last summer, has impressed with 14 goals in 51 league appearances.

Trabzonspor's pursuit of the Nigerian striker signals an end to the possible acquisition of Paul Onuachu who made a big impact for the Black Sea last season from his loan move.
