Tottenham Hotspurs are set to revive their interest in signing Andre Ayew following reports of a breakdown in talks between the Ghana forward and AS Roma.

The 25-year-old was last week reported to have agreed to terms to join the Italian giants.

Roma have however since been unable to commit resources to sign the ex Olympique Marseille star.

Hotspurs now sensing an opportunity are plotting a transfer coup to bring the Ghanaian to the Premier League.

The White Hart Lane outfit are ready to meet Ayew’s reported €3m a year demand – something that seems to be stalling his move Roma.

Ayew has also admitted he will be interested in playing in the Premier League.

“It's true I'd like to play in England,” Ayew told the Daily Mail.

“I'm 25 now and it is a good age for me to take the next step in my career. I have offers from England, Italy and Germany but it would be unfair to say who from. I speak to my friends such as Morgan Amalfitano at West Ham and Joey Barton at QPR and they always talk well about the league and the atmosphere.

“I have been fortunate to experience Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford in the Champions League but I want to play at Anfield and other grounds."
