Tottenham are considering a move for Atletico Madrid winger Alex Baena, with the London club reportedly prepared to pay about €80m for the 25-year-old Spain international.

Fichajes reports that Tottenham are interested in the reigning world champion as they look for a replacement for injured forward Xavi Simons, who is expected to be unavailable for an extended period.
Baena has emerged as a possible target for the Premier League club, although Tottenham face competition for his signature. Manchester City, Newcastle and Aston Villa are also said to be monitoring the winger.
