Marking the Nigeria's first appearance since the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final encounter, the Super Eagles will be playing an A-List friendly match against world champions Argentina, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The high profile friendly between the Super Eagles and reigning World Cup winner, Argentina is set to take place at the iconic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in the United States of America on Tuesday, March 26.

Initially slated for China, the fixture was relocated following a dispute between Argentina captain Lionel Messi and Chinese authorities, resulting in its cancellation.

Nigeria and Argentina have crossed paths eight times previously with the latter emerging victorious on six occasions.

However, the 2023 AFCON first runner up have secured victories against La Albiceleste twice in the past.

This encounter serves as crucial preparation for the West African side ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, slated for June against South Africa and Benin Republic.
