Nigeria-eligible Tola Showunmi was on target for Crawley Town as they fell 2-1 to Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday evening in the English EFL Trophy game played at Adams Park, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.

In the highly intense game, Brandon Hanlan put Wycombe ahead with just 4 minutes into the encounter. Tola Showunmi leveled things, Crawley, 10 minutes later before Luke Leahy's goal in the 30th minute won the game for Wycombe.

All attempts to get back into the game by Crawley were thwarted by a solid Wycombe defense.

Nigerian international, Tanimu Benjamin was solid in the defense for Crawley in the encounter. The Super Eagles' defender who was on parade for the entire duration curbed the wings of Wycombe's attacker, limiting their activities in the box of Crawley. Although got a yellow card and conceded twice, Benjamin played a significant role in the evening, helping his team to limit the attacking threats of the opposition while giving his team the hope of a comeback till the final whistle.
