Three Nigerian Prodigies Sign New Contracts With Manchester City
Three talented Nigerian teenagers born in the United Kingdom have penned new contracts with Premier League powerhouse Manchester City ahead of the new season.
A Manchester City youth team expert has informed via social media that fourteen youngsters have commenced their scholarship deals with the Citizens after penning new deals in a ceremony held on Friday night.
Ex-England U15 skipper Nathaniel Ogbeta, Henri Ogunby and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru are among the new intakes, and the three players are 16-year-olds.
Central defender Ogbeta and attacking midfielder Ogunby recorded seven and five appearances respectively for the Citizens U18 squad during the 2016-2017 campaign.
Fisayo, who is a defensive midfielder, is the younger brother of the better known Tom Dele-Bashiru.
The three players will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Tosin Adarabioyo, who graduated from Manchester City's Academy before making his competitive debut for the first team in 2016.
