Thauvin: "Gignac played important role in my decision to come to Tigres"

In an interview to Marca Claro, Tigres sensational new signing, Florian Thauvin, revealed that his former mate and friend at Marseille and the French National team, Andre-Pierre Gignac, was a big factor in his decision to sign with the regiomontanos.
"Dede (Gignac) played an important role in my decision to play for Tigres. I had to make an important choice; I had contacts with many other clubs, the most important thing for me was to have fun, go to a club with a lot of passionate fans. I needed to find this passion once again, that's why I decided to come to Mexico. In Latin America they love football."
Before his decision to join Tigres, Thauvin, whose contract expires at the end of this season, was link with many European clubs, including Italian giants A.C. Milan.
