English Premier League outfit, Leicester City have confirmed the release Nigeria international, Kelechi Iheanacho, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Iheanacho joined the foxes in 2017 from Manchester City for £25m.
During his time, Iheanacho helped Leicester to back-to-back fifth place EPL finishes and played an integral role in their FA Cup success in 2021, including scoring the winner in the semi-final against Southampton.
Although the 27 year old struggled for form last season but still manage to score six goals and provided three assists in 26 games last season in the English Championship.
Upon promotion to the Premier League, Leicester have released Iheanacho posting on their official X platform his goal scoring moments with the caption, “Thank you, Seniorman”
Iheanacho registered 61 goals and 34 assists in 232 appearances in for the King Power occupants.
