Super Eagle's Kingsley Michael completes loan move to Austrian Bundesliga Side SV Reid

Nigeria International, Kingsley Michael will continue his football activities this season after his loan switch from Italy to Austria on Tuesday.

 

Michael, 22 moved from Bologna to SV Guntamatic Ried following his unveiling at a press conference.

The Imo born player is said to start with immediate effect as his acquisition was born out of urgency necessitated by injuries ravaging the club.

 

"Due to injuries in recent weeks, we had a need for action, especially in central midfield," explained Thomas Reifeltshammer, sporting director professionals at SV Guntamatic Ried.

"We deliberately took our time in the search to find a player who fits our requirement profile. We think we have found exactly this type of player in Kingsley Michael. He is dynamic and aggressive in one-on-one battles."

 

The former player on his part, said he wants to help the club achieve their aims this season.

 

"I want to support SV Guntamatic Ried in the best possible way, but also learn from the team," said Kingsley Michael.

 

"The coach explained the project to me here at Ried and that fits very well with my understanding of soccer. said the former Reggina player.

 

This will make it the fourth loan spell for the player since joining Bologna in 2018 with a spell at Perugia, Cremonese and Reggina.
