The Super Eagles made it 2-0 after Samuel Kalu was tripped in the box. The Eagles were awarded a penalty and Victor Osimhen tucked it away for his first goal for Nigeria at the senior level.

Ukraine fought back in the second half with Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko a constant threat in the Nigerian defence making his creativity count with a goal to his name.

Andriy Shevchenko’s side made it 2-2 almost immediately after a slip up by the Nigerian Midfield as the two nations settled for a draw in their very first meeting at senior level.

Rohr described the performance as satisfactory stressing that the flow of the game is better than Nigeria’s outing at the nations cup and promised subsequent improvement
