Spanish Iberdrola: Ajibade's coach shown the exit door
Rasheedat Ajibade is set for a new life under a new manager as her club Atletico Madrid Feminine sack coach Oscar Fernandez, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.
The Madrid-based club announced coach Oscar Fernandez's departure in the early hours of Monday citing the club's failure to be in the UEFA Women's Champions League position as the reasons for the sack.
"Óscar Fernández will not continue as coach of the women's first team. The current sporting situation, in which the team is out of the positions that give access to the Women's Champions League, has caused the coach from La Mancha to be dismissed.
"From the club, we appreciate his work and professionalism during his time at the club and we wish him the best of luck," the club said.
The team is expected to announce a new coach in the coming days.
