English Premier league club Southampton are pushing to secure the service of KRC Genk striker Paul Onuachu. But the Saints have time to compete with. Nigeriasoccernet gathers.

According to goalgetter, terms on a deal worth £18m plus add-ons has been agreed between the clubs, but the player still needs to complete a medical.

Onuachu is a familiar folk  to Southampton owner, Rasmus Ankersen.

He was a player at Danish side FC Midtjylland when Ankersen was co-sporting director there and at Brentford.

The Premier League side face a race against time to get the experienced striker registered before the transfer window closes on Tuesday and deal as well could be threatened with Everton also making enquiries about the 6’6 striker.
