Suffering his first defeat as Manchester United boss won't have Ole Gunnar Solskjaer panicking when they face Chelsea in the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge.

The Red Devils were pegged back by Paris St-Germain at Old Trafford, losing 2-0, as the Ligue 1 outfit condemned the interim boss to his first setback since replacing Jose Mourinho in December.

Solskjaer has steered United back into the top four in the Premier League and an FA Cup quarter-final berth is the prize in west London on Monday night.

With PSG in a commanding position ahead of next month's return leg in France, this looks to be Solskjaer's only chance of earning silverware as he seeks to enhance his case to become permanent boss in the summer.

You don't panic because you have lost a game - it doesn't change the mindset.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Losing to PSG won't derail what he's looking to achieve, he suggests.

"We still want to impose ourselves on games," said Solskjaer.

"You don't panic because you have lost a game - it doesn't change the mindset. We need to keep working on the way we want to play."

Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard have been ruled out for two to three weeks and will miss the games against Chelsea and Liverpool.

Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku are amongst those contending to get a start in place of that injured duo, and Solskjaer feels anyone called upon will be ready to grasp the opportunity.

"It's a chance for anyone who plays, if it's Alexis or Romelu or who starts or [Tahith] Chong or Angel [Gomes]," he added.

"Anthony and Jesse have done very well for us, they're vital in the attacking part with their attributes with their pace but then again with Rom and Alexis, they've got different skillsets so they will be able to show what they can do."

Manchester United are 11/4 to win at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening, with Chelsea trading at 21/20 and the draw 11/4.
