Serie A: Didier Drogba lauds Osimhen's leap in win over Monza
Having declared the former Chelsea striker as his idol, Victor Osimhen has earned applause from the 2012 UCL winner following his brilliant header in Napoli's 2-4 away win against Monza, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.
Didier Drogba was totally taken aback by Victor Osimhen's goal against Monza. He gave Fox Sports his thoughts on the Nigerian's goal. In actuality, Osimhen scored the game's lone 1-1 against Monza, a test goal that was nearly unachievable for any other player. With an athletic gesture more suited for the NBA than football, the Napoli striker caught the ball at a height of two meters and twenty-three centimeters.
"I saw Victor score that goal against Monza. Oh God! He got hurt, I thought. I wouldn't have gone for that ball, it's crazy. An absurd goal!", he reacted.
Heroics like this have put him in fore front of a big summer transfer despite signing a two year extension with Napoli but the reported 130 million euros established in his release clause would prove as a stumbling block. No exception. Not even for the Premier League clubs in the window: Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are in the front row.
