SCHALKE 04, Mustafi and Bentaleb leave the club as free agents

Shkodran Mustafi and Nabil Bentaleb will be free agent at the end of the season. The two  are among ten players being released by Schalke 04 after their relegation to the Bundesliga 2. Former Sampdoria Mustafi joined Schalke from Arsenal in winter transfer window and he will not be offered an extension to his initial six-month deal.

Former Tottenham midfielder Bentaleb joined in loan from Newcastle, then hewas suspended by the club earlier this season and missed the end of the campaign after having groin surgery.

Schalke 04 had a very bad season winning only three of their 33 league games this season. The other players who will be leaving the team are Benjamin Stambuoli, Bastian Oczipka, Steven Skrzybski and  Alessandro Schopf. William, Goncalo Paciencia, Frederik Ronnow and Kilian Ludewig will not have their loans extended.
