Saudi giants Al-Wahda confirm imminent partnership agreement with Medeama
Saudi Arabia powerhouse Al-Wahda have confirmed it will enter into a partnership agreement with Ghanaian side Medeama next week.
Ghana’s leading football portal, GHANAsoccernet.com, broke the news about the looming agreement between the two ambitious football clubs in Ghana on October 8.
The partnership will see Al-Wahda share its coaching and business expertise with the two-time FA Cup champions.
Al Wahda will also offer practical support and advice in youth coaching, player development, fitness and medical matters, and football business strategy to the Mauve and Yellows.
Al-Wahda president Morsi Hisaham Fouad has confirmed his imminent arrival in Ghana to sign the mega deal with the Tarkwa-based side.
“We are excited at the prospect of working with Medeama and we look forward to the new partnership,” Al Wahda president Hisaham Fouad told GHANAsoccernet.com
“We believe the deal will be mutualy beneficial to both clubs. We want to expand our movement in Africa and we see Ghana as the ideal destination to kick-start our project.
“I am particularly excited at this new development and hopeufully we can also contribute to the success of Ghana football in general.
“We’ll share knowledge and expertise and look at other business opportunities for both clubs.”
The deal was brokered by Step by Step Football Management and will see Medeama benefit immensely from coaching expertise and exchange programmes.
The gulf side will also offer financial support to the Ghanaian side ahead of their participation in the CAF Confederation Cup next year.
Highly-respected Medeama president Moses Armah wil hold talks with Morsi Hisaham Fouad on other areas that will be mutually beneficial to both clubs.
Medeama won their second FA Cup after beating Asante Kotoko 2-1 last month.
