Sammy Adjei Jnr: Highly-rated Ghanaian youth attacker eager to succeed at Danish side Næstved
Ghanaian attacker Sammy Adjei Junior is keen to start scoring to propel Næstved out of the lower ranks of Danish football to the top-flight.
The New York Red Bull Academy graduate officially signed a one-year-contract for Næstved from Red Bull and is eager to step up his performance to help his new club.
"I've signed here to help and push the club and as a striker my main job to help get the goals for the club and that's my main focus now," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
Adjei, who is a son of former AshantiGold player and former Ghana international Sammy Adjei, is eligible to play for Ghana despite being born raised in the USA after leaving Ghana at the age of 11.
He trained with the Ghana U20 squad that won bronze at the 2013 U20 FIFA World Cup in Turkey.

I have followed Sammy's first few months in Denmark where he played with FC Sydvest of the 2nd division. Sammy helped the team reach 7th place in the table after the first half of the season ended - the best ranking the club has ever had! At Næstved you should expect Sammy to play on either wing or as the primary striker. Actually I am pretty sure, Coach Keogh (former teammate of Uche Okechukwu at Brandy IF) will switch Sammy from game to game - and even during the games - to confuse the defenders. Also I see Sammy as a very important player when it comes to setting up Oliver Jørgensen and Kevin Bechman-Timm who are both great players. Næstved plays an attacking game and I will be surprised if Sammy Adjei Jr. does not reach around a dusin assists and 7-8 goals this spring.
