Italian Serie A side AS Roma have acquired Nigerian teenagers, Nura Abdullahi and Sadiq Umar, from AC Spezia.

The Giallorossi have decided to exercise the option of signing the players on permanent basis after the players moved to the Rome side on loan from Spezia last season.

Abdullahi and Umar have both signed four-year contracts each with Roma until June 2020 for a combined fee of €5 million (€2.5 for each player).

The Nigerians were part of Alberto De Rossi’s Roma Primavera side that won the 2015/16 Italian Primavera side.

Abdullahi did not have the best of seasons due to injury but is highly-rated among the Roma set-up while Umar has already made his Serie A debut.

The lanky 19-year-old played six times last term in Serie A, scoring two goals and is tipped for great things by the Roma management.
