Players and officials of the team were at the airport in Atlanta as at 2315 hours Nigerian time only to be informed that the plane is too small to take the delegation.

The Federal Government is in contact with the team and has hired a Delta Airline flight that will depart the United States at 0700 hours on Thursday morning.

With the plane expected to land in Manaus at 1400 hours on Thursday, the players will have only seven hours to shake off their jet lag before entering the pitch to face Japan.

According to the Media Officer of the Dream Team VI, Timi Ebikagboro, players will be well taken care of by the medical team on the flight and they are all happy with the new arrangement.

He added that the players were not too comfortable with the size of aircraft so made an appeal which the Federal Government listened to.
