Remo Stars will fly to CAF Confederations Cup matches venues on chartered flights- Adams
Connecting Africa via flights is usually a tough challenge for most clubs campaigning in the CAF Champions League or Confederations Cup, but for Remo Stars that won't be a problem as the Sky Blue Stars will fly to matches on chartered flights.
The Ikenne based team made history in Nigeria's top domestic football league clinching a ticket to fly the country's flag in Africa's second-tier interclub football championship, after they struggle off stiff competition from Kwara United, Rangers and Enyimba to finish the season third on the log with 62 points.
Seasoned Nigerian domestic football expert-cum-General Manager of Remo Stars Ekene Adams gave the hint as one plan the club has regarding how they intend to better their chances by way of competing well the CAF Confederations Cup next season.
"I don't want to let the cat out of the bag for now as a lot has been outlined by Remo Stars management to see that the club excel in the CAF Confederations Cup.
"I can confidently tell you that the club won't envisage any issues when it comes to travel and other logistics.
"We have taking time to study the travel plans of some top African clubs that have become a brand name in the continent, and one of the thing that helped them, they got it right in that aspect.
"Yes, playing in the continent is capital intensive but for Remo Stars that won't be much of an issue since we have the financial backing of our President Honourable Kunle Soname.
"Let me state clearly that Remo Stars will fly to our CAF Confederations Cup match venue on chartered flights."
